In 2015, we ran evangelistic meetings in Vanuatu which were unprecedented in their scope and impact. Over five nights, we saw more than 26,000 attendees come to worship and hear the gospel. Responses were overwhelming, with almost 14,000 making life decisions to follow Jesus.
This year, from August 31st to September 4th, we’re doing it all again — and we’re believing for even greater things! In continued partnership with Tim Hall International Ministries and Planetshakers, and with a Hillsong worship team joining us on all nights, these meetings will powerfully boast the love of Jesus and the transforming presence of the Holy Spirit. Together, we will see God leave a permanent mark on the collective heart of Vanuatu.
Leading up to these meetings, we ask one thing of our friends and partners — to pray with us for God to move mightily on each night. Practically, the foundation has been laid for a powerful time of worship and ministry. A gifted and effective team is committed to the work. The venue and equipment are in place. Although much work is ahead, we are not concerned with the logistics or the practical challenges. The one thing that matters is that God’s spirit would fall.
These are not just events. Anyone can put on a show, but only the Holy Spirit can bring new life and transformation. This is the highest privilege of Christian ministry – seeing God’s spirit touch hearts and minds, bringing new life. Please pray and believe with us for an even greater outpouring than we have imagined!
Also, pray that God would ‘seal the work’ spiritually upon the completion of the events, leading new followers to find great churches and experience a vital daily relationship with God. As you can imagine, the follow-up required is a mammoth effort, and we’re working on better ways of supporting new believers in their first days. The spiritual and emotional vacuum left by such events can be an early challenge. Pray for us to see God’s steps clearly and employ great wisdom in attending to this.
We are so privileged to serve the people of Vanuatu. Such opportunities are the fruit of three decades of ministry in ‘word and deed’ to families and communities throughout Vanuatu. Thank you for joining with us and making this possible — and thank you for your continued prayers!
